Formed in 1984, The Coral Cypsella is a mixed voice choir of around 50 singers. They have a diverse repertoire of classical and liturgical works, popular songs from around the world, and compositions in both Spanish and Catalan.

The choir enjoys musical collaborations with other local choirs, and internationally in France, Germany, Italy and of course East Grinstead! They previously hosted EGCS in 2002, and EGCS was delighted to welcome them on a reciprocal visit in 2003. The choir’s musical director is Visitació Diaz.

Sant Feliu Monastery Church will be our main performance venue during the tour. The records of this Benedictine coastal monastery date back to the 10th century and are solid testimony to the town’s cultural and historical heritage. This wonderful building has undergone several re-constructions over the centuries and is now a large complex which houses the town museum. Its Porta Ferrada (horsehoe-shaped door) is a particularly fine example of medieval architecture.

The Eden Roc is a traditional hotel about 1km from the centre of Sant Feliu. It is situated on a beautiful cliffside headland with stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea. Rooms are all ensuite and are equipped with hair dryer, satellite TV, minibar and safe, and there is free Wi-Fi access. The hotel restaurant offers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and guests can enjoy the hotel's indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as spa facilities.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols is situated on the Costa Brava and is twinned with East Grinstead and all the other towns in the twinning group. Its coastline of rocky and sandy beaches stretches for over 10km and boasts many beautiful little bays surrounded by pine trees. The town has a rich history and a strong seafaring past. It is within easy reach of Girona, Barcelona and Figueres.
