| The Society
has several social events planned for each year. Almost every Thursday
members retire after rehearsal to a local hostelry to refresh their
hard worked vocal chords!
However other activities
take place which do not have hostelries as their venue. As
more take place this page will extend, and if photographs are available
these will be displayed (with permission). Click on any photo to view

Ramble
This took place in July after the end of the
singing season, which proves that we go on throughout the
year.
A hardy
group of about 30 members and 'hangers-on' outside the Brambletye Hotel and pub in Forest Row,
West Sussex, anticipating their four mile trek through public footpaths (one
really boggy!),
including a rumoured ever rising field of rape!.
Some really entered into the spirit
of the walk by turning up complete with OS map, compass and water bottle
(although we were led to believe it contained something else). |
After two
thirds of the route had been covered we stopped to gather the stragglers (guess who
they were). The horses we had picked up en route had by this time wandered
off into their field to continue munching. The dog was one of
ours and was relatively obedient. Trying to get it to go through stiles
needed extra direction at times!
A pre-booked lunch at the
Brambletye was waiting for us when we did eventually arrive back from our
walk, all complete and unscathed. |
