EGCS Golden Jubilee

The Society was founded in 1952 and on 16th May 2003
celebrated it's Golden Jubilee.

As well as the Jubilee Concert, the year was marked by a formal dinner which took place at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Felbridge, East Grinstead.

In addition to the Society's current Musical Director, it was honoured to have two former Musical Directors attend. In addition there were several past members, some of whom had travelled considerable distances to attend. This show of appreciation and support for the Society was much appreciated.

Below is a selection of photographs taken at the event.

The tables all had golden balloons and table decorations of gold roses. Each person had their own name allocated. On each table were copies of old concert programmes.
With one past Musical Director is a former Secretary, Joan .Ferrison.
A live band provided the entertainment, and during the evening several people took to the floor for a variety of dances.
Sitting centre is former Musical Director Gordon Hughes, and to the right is Mary Woodruffe, Society Treasurer for over nineteen years, a splendid achievement.
